Students sit in table groups inside a classroom, collaborating on crafts using recycled materials like cardboard and bottle caps

Our kindergarten classes proudly wrapped up their CKLA unit, Taking Care of the Earth, with a celebration of learning and creativity. Throughout the unit, students explored what it means to be responsible stewards of our planet. They learned how small actions like reducing waste, recycling, and protecting natural resources can make a big difference in keeping our Earth healthy.

To bring their learning to life, students completed a hands-on final project using recyclable materials collected from home and school. With imagination and teamwork, they transformed everyday items into something entirely new. Their creations included miniature towns, musical instruments, cellphones, animals, and many other inventive designs that showcased their problem solving skills and growing environmental awareness.

This project was not only fun but also a meaningful reminder that caring for our planet starts with simple choices.
