Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 joins school districts across Illinois in celebrating School Board Members’ Day. 

Board Members’ Day is celebrated annually on November 15. The event celebrates and thanks the unpaid volunteers who serve school districts across the state for the benefit of their stakeholders, and provide a voice for the communities they represent. The theme of this year’s event is “Learn Together. Lead Together.”

Their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts positivity impact the entire Waukegan community and help to shape a brighter future for our students,” said Superintendent of Schools Theresa Plascencia. 

The Board of Education for Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 includes Board President Mr. Brandon Ewing ( seventh year of service), Vice President, and Senior Board Member, Ms. Anita Hanna (28 years), Mr. Rick Riddle (ninth year), Mr. Jeff McBride (14 years of combined service), Ms. Adriana Gonzalez (third year of service), Ms. Carolina Fabian (first year of service), and Ms. Christine Lensing (first year of service).
