Action Items

The Board of Education voted to approve that the Superintendent request from the LuLu Rippberger Scholarship Trust Fund four (4) student awards not to exceed $2,000 per student and from the Allen Larson Music Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund one (1) student award not to exceed $1,000 per student, at a total estimated cost of $9,000.

The Board of Education voted to approve a proclamation against the banning of books, as presented by the Student Board member, Victor Hinojosa. Mr. Hinojosa proposed the Board approve a proclamation addressing its commitment to maintaining unfettered access to reading materials that appeal to the diverse student body served by the District.  


Personnel Items

The Board of Education voted to approve the appointments and resignations of four employees. 

The Board of Education voted to approve 12 middle school and high school math leaders to attend the Carnegie Learning's Summer National Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. The expected total cost is $49,200 which includes registration, lodging, travel and meal per diem rate. The Board also approved the attendance of 15 middle school and high school math leaders to attend the Carnegie Learning's Summer National Institute in San Antonio, Texas, July 24-27. The expected total cost is $52,500 which includes registration, lodging, travel and meal per diem rate.
