Waukegan Public Schools is teaming up with the Education Equity Program to host a special reading circle celebrating a variety of cultures later this month.
A special Celebration of Languages Reading Circle will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 12, at Clark Elementary. During the event, representatives from the Education Equity Program will read books to families in a variety of languages, including Malayalam, Urdu, Arabic and Spanish.
In addition to the reading circle, families will have the opportunity to take part in fairy tale themed crafts and activities, as well as receive a language workbook designed to help individuals practice lettering. Contact Carolina Fabian at [email protected] for more information.
