Ms. Amy Grossman: Hello and welcome to the new school year and the Little Fort website. My name is Amy Grossman and I am the principal of Little Fort elementary. I am proud to lead the Little Fort dolphins. Our mascot fits us perfectly, because we stick together, support each other, communicate well and problem-solve around how to best encourage each student to reach their full potential. At Little Fort our mission is connect, support, achieve! Our amazing staff works to build relationships with students and their families so they feel supported throughout the school year. When relationships are built and support is provided student achievement is easier to attain.

At Little Fort we've worked to build partnerships with parents around supports at home and school. We aim to provide an inviting, supportive environment for our parents and Families. We listen and we respond to parents. My door is always open and I value the dialogue that we can have. Although parent involvement in our school may include fundraising, volunteering, helping in the cafeteria or classroom, there are other meaningful ways that you can connect with our staff. Work with your child's teacher to set goals. Make the first contact for your child's teacher.

Talk with them at the beginning of the school year if you have any concerns about your child's work. Ask for a language interpreter. Talk with the teachers even when things are going well and let us know about big events that in your child's lives. We look forward to all of the opportunities this school year will bring. Thank you
