Reminders

● Now that cold weather is here, it’s important for students to dress appropriately for the conditions. Students need to wear a winter jacket to school and also bring a hat and gloves.

Learning Focus

Math-Unit 4 :

In unit 4, students are introduced to the basic principles of multi digit multiplication by focusing on extending multiplication skills and exploring the partial-products method. They use their knowledge of multiplication to find the areas of rectangles and to convert units of measurement.

Reading- UNIT 4-Eureka! Student Inventor :

During the Unit 4 Quest, students read informational texts, pulling evidence and details to support arguments. Reading activities are concentrated in the first half of this unit. Students will read biographical articles about eight inventors, detailed histories of important inventions, and scientific explanations of simple machines.
