How to Help at Home


Be sure to have your child read at home daily. Ask questions about what your child is reading, and have your child show you where in the text he or she found the answer to your questions.

Your child can practice math skills by playing the egames in their McGraw-Hill app in Clever.

What We are Learning


Reading:

Students will be learning about the ancient Roman civilization. They  ill be learning about some of the legends and myths of ancient Rome.


Social Studies:

Students are learning about local governments as community services. They will also be learning about the ancient Roman civilization. They will be learning about some of the legends and myths of ancient Rome.


Second Step Unit 2.

Topics: Emotion management, and Empathy and Kindness


Math:

Students will be learning different ways to add and subtract, ways to represent multiplication and division problems, and beginning working with measurement and geometry.


Science:

During their upcoming Science/Literacy Unit, the students will engage in activities to explore weather and climate. Students will read texts and use media to determine patterns in the weather and discover why different areas have different climates than their own..


Writing :

Students will be working on opinion writing. They will focus on supporting their opinions with evidence..
