3rd Grade:
CKLA- We are currently working on unit 2: animal classification. Students are working on identifying author's purpose and point of view while reading grade level informational text. students will determine the main idea of a text and recount key details to explain how they support the main idea. students will compare and contrast two texts on the same topic math- students will continue working on solving division and multiplication story problems. They will work on becoming more fluent with their multiplication and division facts. students are also working on solving multi step story problems. They will continue to work on their problem-solving skills.
4th grade:
CKLA- Students will learn about the middle ages in Europe and the islamic medieval empires, studying how they are related by a common past. The decline of the roman empire and what is their impact on the present em4- in unit 3, students build on fractional concepts from previous grades to understand fractions as division.
5th grade:
CKLA- This unit discusses complex civilizations, including those of the maya, aztec, and inca, developed in the americas before the arrival of europeans. It orients students to the geography, climate, flora, and fauna of the americas. It presents an overall history and timeline highlighting the rise and fall of the maya, aztec, and inca civilizations. math- decimals and percentages.
Weather/ Science Rotations:
The weather is getting colder, please have the kids dress appropriately. ⁃ Science rotations are on the way. They are integrated by grade level during Science

- All kids should be reading at least 20 mins daily at home
