How to Help at
Home
Please make sure your child’s Chromebook is fully charged each night. If your child has lost their charger, please send a note requesting a new charger. There will be a fee charged to their student account.
Learning Objectives
ELA:
Students will be reading informational texts that support our science topic. They will be working on distinguish their own point of view from that of the author of a text, and combining information from multiple sources to write a composition that tells about astronomy.
Math:
Students will be learning how to identify fractions on a number line and in a number story. They will also be comparing fractions.
Science:
Students will be learning about: astronomy, planets, our solar system, and other related topics. We will be tying in our ELA-Reading lessons with this topic.
Writing:
Students will write an essay by combining information from multiple sources to write to tell about an astronomy topic.
Social Studies :
Students will explore current events in social studies by reading Scholastic News and participating in activities related to their learning.
