District #60 will host its second meeting of its newly-formed Parent to Parent Special Education Network April 12.

This meeting will be conducted simultaneously in English and Spanish on Tuesday, April 12 beginning at 6 p.m. Families will have the option to attend in person at the Welcome Center, 742 W Greenwood Ave, or virtually through Google Meet. For a link to the virtual meeting contact Parent and Community Partnership Coordinator Tim Kirschner at 224-303-3621 or [email protected].

During the meeting, Diverse Learners Director Dr. Greg Bublitz will speak and answer questions. Staff will share resources, answer parent questions, as well as give families the opportunity to network in an effort to continue building a supportive and connected community of DL families.

Child care will be provided for parents wishing to attend. Additionally, the first 40 people who contact Mr. Kirschner can reserve a free dinner ahead of the meeting. Parents must RSVP by April 8 to receive their free meal.

The Parent to Parent Special Education Network was designed to provide a network of support for Diverse Learners families, and will meet at least quarterly to discuss a variety of important topics and resources.
