Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 is teaming up with the Waukegan-based Lakes Behavioral Hospital to help teach parents about practicing mindfulness with their children.

The bilingual Facebook live event, titled “Make it Magic with Mindfulness”, will take place Thursday, April 15, on the District’s Facebook page beginning at 5:30 p.m. 

During the live event, Charla Waxman, MBA, EDd of Lakes Behavioral Hospital will lead an informational presentation on ways for parents to manage their emotions and behaviors in order to be more intentional and less reactive in their parenting.
