Special Presentations and Recognitions
-The Board of Education presented a Resolution of Honor in celebration of the life and legacy of Pastor Walstone Francis. 

Action Items
-The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of kitchen equipment at Miguel Juarez Middle School in the amount of $17,219 and Waukegan High School, Brookside Campus in the amount of $16,098. Funds for these purchases will be reimbursed by the Illinois State Board of Education according to the equipment assistance grant awarded to the Child Nutrition department.
-The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of new metal detectors for Waukegan High School Brookside Campus and Washington Campus, as well AOEC, at a total cost of $97,190, from Indiana-based SecurMar LCC. The Administration is recommending the replacement of 11 walk-through metal detectors for use at WHS Brookside Campus, Washington Campus, and AOEC. The older units being replaced will be available for spare use as needed.  The new units, and remaining existing units for current use, will be equipped with thermal cameras and temperature detection software to assist with building entry procedures. This item includes installation of all equipment, training, and a two-year parts and labor warranty.

-The Board of Education voted to approve the settlement agreement with the Washington Lewis Currency Exchange in the amount of $1,312, as presented by the Co-General Counsel. This agreement resolves threatened litigation and legal fee claims pertaining to a collections dispute between the District and the Washington Lewis Currency Exchange.  
-The Board of Education voted to approve the appointments, resignations, retirements and retirement appointments of 14 employees.
