District 60 was recently announced as one of nine Lake County organizations to be awarded United Way of Lake County’s COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund grant.

As part of the grant, the District will receive approximately $35,000, which will be used to support remote learning for all Kindergarten through 8th grade students, as well as distribute school supplies and books to students.

The Lake County COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund unites funds raised by philanthropies, corporations, and individuals to support nonprofits during these unprecedented times. Since March, United Way has donated a total of $1,002,337 to Lake County community nonprofits and organizations through this grant.
